Well, I fear this team is exactly who we thought they were. After a promising start to the
season winning their first 3 games, they have since dropped 4 in a row, all to playoff caliber
teams. I’ll work my way through the road trip, starting in Vegas.

There were positives in this game, just none of them were defensive positives. 5 different
goal scorers for the Bruins is great news. This team will be so reliant on Pastrnak to carry
the scoring load, any time you can get variety in scoring will be a huge plus. Unfortunately,
they were poor defensively and on top of that Swayman struggled to find pucks in this one.
Uncharacteristic rebounds and just lost in tracking, Swayman didn’t provide the necessary
big stops when the Bruins needed them. This team has good fight in them which will make
them a tough team to finish games on going forward. In a 6-3 game, two quick goals
brought it to within one goal, but as I have mentioned before the Bruins just simply won’t
win very many, if any, high scoring games. The best line in this one was the 4th. Viel looked
pretty good in his first game, Kuraly is the line driver for this bottom trio, and Kastelic has
been a steady contributor so far. Vegas is an excellent team. Jack Eichel could very well be
on his way to being the top player in the league this season as he has 15 points in just 6
games. This roster is built for a deep run even without their second-best D-man in
Pietrangelo out for the year.
