After their 6th loss in a row the Bruins were outspoken in the media about the changes that
needed to be made in the locker room and about their responsibilities on the ice. A lot of
emphasis was placed on the defensive zone, taking pride in being harder to play against in
their own end, and having more consistency. They needed a response in the game against
the Avs and they got it. Though I couldn’t watch this game it was clear they got back to the
formula of how they can win games this season. Consistent defense, big saves, and timely
goals. Swayman backed the team stopping 31 of 33 shots and goals from red hot Morgan
Geekie, Eyssimont and Viktor Arvidsson was just enough to beat out the Avs at home.
Mason Lohrei had a nice game here after I obliterated him for his recent play, he tacked on
3 assists. They did split the McAvoy / Lohrei pairing up in this one which I think was
beneficial for both players.
